Q: When do you meet for worship?
A: Every Sunday we have Bible Fellowship at 9am, worship at 10am, and an evening service at 6pm. Prayer and praise on Wednesday night begins at 7pm.
Q: How do I get there?
A: Union Grove Baptist Church is conveniently located just off of Hwy. 52 and Hwy 150 South. It is right on the Lexington/Winston Salem line. Click here for a map.
Q: What should I wear?
A: We want you to be comfortable while you are visiting, so what you wear is your choice. You can dress up or dress down. When visiting, you will see men in suits or men in jeans. Ladies, you will see ladies in skirts and ladies in pants. We have a balance at Union Grove.
Q: What do I do when I get inside?
A: You will be greeted by one of our friendly volunteers at the Welcome Center who will be happy to direct you to seating, or find a classroom for your children or nursery for the little ones. They will also point out where the restrooms and water fountains are located if you should need them, and they can also answer questions you might have.
Q: What is available for my kids?
A: Union Grove has great services and activities for our Grove Kids. We offer primary and children's churches during the worship hour on Sunday. We also offer Gopher buddies (3-5 year olds) and Olympians (1st-6th grades) from 6:30-8:00 pm on Wednesday evenings while you worship in the main service. We also offer activities throughout the entire year for the kids.
Q: What is available for my teenager?
A: The Grove Students is a huge part of Union Grove Baptist Church. We have student Bible fellowship every Sunday morning to engage each student with people their own age and gender. We also meet in a large group setting on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm for worship with all students (7-12th grades). We also do tons of fun stuff throughout the year.
Q: What should I expect in worship?
A: You’ll be given a bulletin that will tell you about things that are coming up at Union Grove. You will enjoy dynamic worship, and purposeful messages dealing with real-life, real-time issues. Pastor Harris' messages are based solidly on Biblical teaching together with practical application, and will guide you toward growing in your faith and applying God’s Word to your family, job and life.
Q: Do I have to participate in the offering?
A: No. We do not invite you to Union Grove Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in our church a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a home where you can grow in God's grace. Please do not feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
If there is something we missed on this list, just give us a call, send an email, or ask someone when you arrive. We want to serve you and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally. We hope to see you soon!
